Liberal rubbish.

Yep, you're right, however that hardly constitutes a campaign promise. Everyone is able to change their political positions as they see fit..of course do it too much..and you're a flip-flopper without principle, sure to be defeated in an election. I think he supports marriage equality at heart, but doesn't want to spend political capital on it right now. The LGBT community alone cannot re-elect him..he needs everyone else too, so he's tending to majority needs first. Keep supporting him!

Well he didn't actually promise marriage equality...but I agree. He does need to fulfill his promises of repealing DOMA, and Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

I campaigned hard and voted for Obama because he promised Gay marriage and equal protection for all LGBT Americans. Now that he is President of the United States, I expect him to fulfill those promises and keep his word, otherwise I feel like my vote had been wasted. Obama needs to keep his word and deliver the rights for all Gay people. He promised!

He said he favors gay marriage in 1996. There were documents with his signature on it as well.
