The Jefferson Area Tea Party met with Democrat Congressman Tom Perriello (Virginia CD-05) on Tuesday, March 16, 2010 in Washington, D.C. The topic was Health Care reform and Tom's position on the pending bill.

In this video, Congressman Perriello admits that Congress will "steal" unless you "tie our hands."

It remains a fact when they are spending someone else s money they care not about what they spend. Congress should have to live by the same rules as everyone else. Pay into SS and pay into 401k or other retirement plan. Maybe ifit was their money to they were spending they might think about what they are doing. Right now they get full pay for life for 6 years of service plus benefits like Cadillac insurance for life. Time to fire all of them and Vote in people who will reform these rules.

High School and College students should be required to pass a three to four hour credit course on the Constitution and Bill of Rights or Early American history before voting. Actually, it wouldn't hurt to require anyone who plans on voting to take the course too!

He's a very genuine, nice guy who really believes he's doing the right thing. But just because someone thinks they're doing the right thing, doesn't mean they truly are doing the right thing.

Hell, he still thinks FDR's policies brought us out of the Depression.
