Final Fantasy VIII Boss Battle 1 - Ifrit

This is the 1st of many Final Fantasy battles I intend to record over the passing whenever.

This battle starts with Ifrit, and I was much hoping to go for a 1 hit KO with Renzokuken, however Squall didn't finish with Rough Divide. :(

Anyone else notice the only downside of beating Iftrit so fast is that you wont do good on Judgement in your SeeD exam report. For some reason( and I'm assuming this from past playthroughs) I think that how good you do on the Judgement part of the exam is dependant how low the timer is to zero cause everytime I mess around and finish the fight with 5 seconds remaining I would ace the Judgement part of the exam.

Yeah, that's pretty much it. :P As soon as you get your SeeD level though don't you just spam Tests up to the max level? Jugement was really annoying because Ifrit would use some gay-ass long attack -just- before mine hit him meaning the counter would reach 0 and a nasty game over. :(

...Not really good judgement if you think about it, right? :P

You have Junctioned Str with water, what monster you have to draw to get it at this very beginning

Bloody hell now there's a question. Lets see if I can remember;

You don't draw it from a monster. You make Shiva learn the I/Ref ability (?) Anyways, refines Ice/Water magic etc from an item. It takes 30AP to learn and once done you go to the beach near Balamb and kill Fasticilions (sp I know...Cut me some slack) They're big fish things. Basically, they drop Fish Fins. 1 refines into 20 Water spells. Use the I/Ref ability to turn them into 20 waters and in no time you have 100 per character.

So I could 1 hit Renzokuken it...But that failed so Quistis had to finish the job.

lvl 10??not bad,the higher the better so you can defeat Ifrit faster since he's lvl 6 ;p

@MotherJenova they also drop Water Crystals to refine into Water spells..FF Wiki told me XD

I know it's not. Not that anyone should really care about the SeeD exam report considering if they know their stuff about this game.

Cause if he cured himself he'll be not able to cast limit breaks. And sorry mate about Rough Divide. i understood that u worked much about it :)
