Starting in 2007, life circumstances began requiring a weekly 3-hour drive from Redding to Santa Rosa, California. On the upside is the incredible scenery of mountains, lakes and wine country of Northern Calfornia I get to enjoy every week and twisty roads that are perfect for the Saab 99 Turbo. I also wanted to capture the outings I enjoy in my Saabs with my 3 children, whiling away the hours hanging out in a beautiful spot, my oldest playing guitar. Saablime, do you still own that 99 Turbo? How many miles does it currently have, and does it still run good?

Having been a Swedish car enthusiast for most of my life, I've come to appreciate the fact that there are so many owners like you and me that are willing to preserve pieces of automotive history (I have two vintage Volvos). I'm a fan of 99 Turbos but I personally like something newer - currently looking for a mint '89 or '90 900 Turbo convertible (still nice cars).

@jsrosa1282 Unfortunately I had to sell the car in 2010. Of all the cars I've sold, I regret selling that one the most, but had to do it at the time. I still have a 1988 Saab SPG and a 2001 Saab Viggen. Love the Saabs and the 99 Turbo is for sure one of my all time favorites. I'd love to own one again some day.

@saablime How do you feel about the impending demise of Saab Automobile? For me, it's like losing a good friend.

I was planning on getting a C900 convertible soon but it looks like I may end up with the '93 Corvette 6-speed that I've been looking at.

We loved our 76 SAAB 99! I greatly miss that car. I think of it as a family member.
