11 minutes of birds.
1 camera/ 3 different shots.
Setting up the shots was very difficult. I should have made a movie
about me climbing up this tree and wrapping duct tape around the trunk so I can tie my camera on. Shy boy the red squirrel actually came up to visit me while I was setting up the camera. The camera freaked out most of the birds but I hope they will eventually get used to it.
In the end I risked a broken leg to get this footage.
Next time I plan on using a ladder and going higher up.
I really want to get a woodpecker...you can hear- but not see them in this vid...

  • Danke Brbara30:)

  • hey i hear sadie dawg barking! i have a bad feeling she might try to harass you and your birds lol uh ohh.

  • Thank you floydstinkyboy! I would be honored if I saw the great Sadie dog! With all her experience I bet she would help me in my filming:) The dogs in the video- which one can glimpse in the upper corner of the screen- are goat herding dogs...they are just saying hello...when they first moved in they barked all day and night...ruining so many of my 'natural sound' videos...Luckily now they are 'mellofied' duude:D

  • So enjoyable. Thank you.

Love the squirrel visit. You are capturing some beautiful moments.

  • Interessante. Bravo

  • Thank you Barfsoup...I am happy to hear from you:) I always wonder if you could hand feed a tufted titmouse (you actually taught me how to hand feed birds from your vids)...there are probably more titmice then any other bird yet they wont land on the hand...I will keep trying! And I will send some titmice up your way! We are overun:))

  • Thank you GilaTomster:) Those sheep/goat herding dogs used to bark at me NON STOP. They ruined so many of my vids- 2 years ago..Now, while they make their rounds, they just bark a 'hello' and are back to the upper goat and cow field. I was in the local farm supply store buying bird seed. I noticed those outdoor cameras...I actually was thinking of buying it until I saw the price! Yikes! I actually thought about you when I was checking out the different animal traps:)

  • Thank you justkarmatoo! Luckily most of the jays are afraid of the camera duct taped to the tree...the dogs are sheep/goat dogs and are just checking to see if I am a fox or coyote. When they first moved onto the property next door they would bark at me non stop for hours...they ruined soooo many videos...Hearing them bark at me only a couple of times was actually nice:)

  • Thank you BeaverCreekHome:))

  • Awesome video !

  • Besides the dog barking I think I heard that Buzz Kill Blue jay in the background. Good luck keeping that bull out of the china closet.
