How is the antler stuck to the wood?

I drilled a hole in the stick and antler the inserted a length of threaded bar which I glued in with Araldite. The threaded gives something for the glue to adhere to.

How are the antler and hazel connected? and great bushcraft stick!

I have drilled and glued a metal threaded studding into both ends. I use studding because the thread gives more surface area for the glue to bind to.
