at a shelter the rabbit comes already vaccinated and spayed or castrated so the donation fee is not at all expensive...a bun at the pet shop would cost little but youd still need to pay £50 for vaccs and between £80 and £100 for spay or castration, so in the long run it is a MUCH cheaper option since most of the places I've adopted buns from only ask for a donation of £50-£60 per rabbit. This is alot better than having to buy a £30 rabbit at the pet shop plus another £150 on top of that.

That's so sad! If only they gave you a chance.
I barely have any credit but i have two buns and i swear, i love them dearly... Even if they have chewed up my favorite pair of shoes!
I'm surprised over the credit check... do they do a criminal check too? lol

It has a wonderful message to it but not everyone is able to adopt. Sometimes adoption prices are higher then pet store prices. When I was ready to have a rabbit in my life again I found one at the shelter I fell in love with... visited every day for a week straight and save the $125 to adopt... Told I couldn't because of the credit check they did... that bun was not in a no kill shelter... one of my friends works there. She brought me his body so we could burry him properly.
