The roller bar is an old school training device in many chinese martial arts to train internal force or Ging. In Burning Palm its used for such as well understanding the "Live force", as well sensitivity and reaction (speed).
Here it is done seated to immobilise the legs so the upper body is only working, for people that also have leg injuries can still work out with this tool.
Always use Dit Dar Jau before, during and after the practice!

Si-hing Garry, I've been doing GM Doo Wai's roller bar training since 1992 (25 lbs. of lead bearings in PVC)...primarily in standing posture coordinating the rising/lowering of the horse stance with you-you-what. You clip has reminded me to do more seated training. Thanks for posting! Terry
