Wasting BILLIONS $$$$$ on throw-away batteries to power our myriad of electronic gadgets might be good for greedy racketeers but its fatal for Soldiers and civilian economic victims having to convoy them from Allied Nation Operating Bases (ANOBs aka "port") to Forward Operating Bases (FOBs aka "fort") as they get blown up on roads by enemy land mines.

The solution is to re-equip ALL electronic devices to use re-chargeable Lithium-Ion ("Lion") batteries and to provide solar, wind and hand crank means to recharge them using small devices and large BATTLEBOX collectors to create a Zero-Energy expeditionary capability:

http://www.geocities.com/strategicmaneuver/battleboxes.htm

Power from solar, wind and human biomechanical means (stop running around in PT formations just to make middle-aged men feel young, have Soldiers exercise bike and recharge BATTLEBOX Lion batteries) would drastically reduce fuel that has to be delivered to FOBs to run diesel/JP-8 generators which should only be used in emergencies. These generators should be able to burn old cooking oil from the unhealthy food dining facilities though Soldier feeding should decentralize into company-level BATTLEBOXkitchens:

One way to get a small Lion battery recharge capability is by modifying a Grundig hand-crank radio so it can interface with D, C, AA and AAA battery charge trays.

The web page above details exactly where to buy the necessary supplies to do the conversion shown in the video.

  • Sweet!!!@@!@!@!@!!!!!@!@@@!!!!!!!! 5/5

  • hey that's pretty cool, I was considering buying a eton crank radio but the inability to charge batterys was a big enough con I decided not to, was wondering if their was a way to modify it, and you already figured it out. Cheers

  • what sucks here is that bush is spending $3 Trillion on iraq, and so why isn't he supplying the soldiers with wind-up battery chargers? why is it, that soldiers have to go make these things themselves? its shameful.

  • You are a genius!
