Calexico combines southwestern American roots music with Mexican styles. Inevitably this heads into Morricone territory. Nowhere is that clearer than this fine and haunting amble through the sage.

Calexico is also connected to Giant Sand, Friends of Dean Martinez, and Iron & Wine. This song comes from their second album, "The Black Light" (1998).

If you listen to heavily Mexican music, you'll notice it's different than Calexico's unique blend of style.
