Jesper Skibby word omvergereden op de Koppenberg door de koersdirecteur in de Ronde Van Vlaanderen 1987.
De Deen reed op kop, maar toen hij begon te zwalpen werd hij aangereden door de auto van de wedstrijddirecteur. De Koppenberg verdween uit de Ronde om pas in 2002 opnieuw in het parcours opgenomen te worden.

It could have been a leg which he drove over and not a wheel.
Notice how a spectator almost tries to stop the car but it just keeps going.

For those who don´t know, the racedirector told the driver to keep on moving. Hes excuse was that the peloton was coming up from behind very quickly. In my opinion thats bullshit. There is plenty of time to let the rider get up again.
