Silent Sea-- KT Tunstall

My music video of KT Tunstall's "Silent Sea."

What I'm trying to show (or at least I think this is what the song is about) is about a guy breaking up with her, but she still loves him: "I was happy in my harbor 'til you cut me loose" and how she is lost without him: "Floating on an ocean and confused." I kind of made a story around it to the idea that she decides she can't live without him, so her boat (actually shots from the Titanic) sinks.

i like it, but my vision of the song is that she "was happy in her harbor" because her life was all normal, and then he came along and "cut her loose" and she explains the rest cause their relationship was crazy. im not saying your interpretation is wrong, im just saying how i thought it was. i really like the music video though and i think this is amazing u did it all yourself cuz if i tried to do something like that, it'd end up all weird

@angelfrmabov32697 thanks! i guess everybody's idea of what the song is about is different. it's the same for me for how i picture stuff in books. anyways, these kind of clips aren't too hard to pull together. because i didn't have much sea footage (there really isn't much sea-related here in wisconsin) i just pulled several clips on youtube and other sites into my video. it was really just arranging them with the song :) i bet you could make them too!

I loved it. Just it's a pity it's only about ships and not a little bit more about the couple, just the hands scene :S

@soymarciana yeah i know! i would have loved to include more shots, but i didn't have any willing models and all the movie shots would give me copyright claims. any suggestions?

I got the impression that she doesn't so much sink as has to find her own way without him. "When I find the controls/ I'll go where I like/ I'll know where I want to be". I think it's a song about personal empowerment.

i don't think that it's about a relationship, guess it's more about life

and actually i see it as a happy song. The one who was attached to the harbor is free now... just don't know how to use this freedom.
