Scratchy, pixelated and certainly dated, this interview with writer and historian, Shelby Foote, on William Faulkner and the American South during the early part of the 20th century is a candid, blunt account of that era. Thanks to C-SPAN for the clip.

  • I grant that this video does not reflect the best contemporary technology. But in what sense can it otherwise be considered "dated?"
