During my research for my Charlie Russell: Tale-Telling Cowboy Artist book, I learned The Beaverbook Art Gallery in Fredricton, New Brunswick owns a wonderful Russell oil painting. Maybe this museum is near your home. The title is "Canadian Mounted Police Bringing in Red Indian Prisiners (sic)." (Charlie was a terrible speller.) Russell lived in Alberta for about six months and admired the Mounties.

This is really beautiful. As an Atlantic Canadian, I had not heard of Charlie Russell before. It's fascinating how one artist preserved the memory of the American West, and then a Canadian poet/singer preserved the memory of Mr. Russell.

Thank you Charles Russell. So important that this part of our heritage was put on canvas.

Great song! It brings back happy memories of Montana and researching there for my brand new children's book, Charlie Russell: Tale-Telling Cowboy Artist! Lois V. Harris

Very nice... agree though that if you'll tag it "Ian Tyson" it will help.... so well done!

Beautiful
You should put "Ian Tyson" in your tags so his fans will find this.

I am so glad I found your creations... my family used to travel to Montana and we listened to Ion Tyson all the way there and back from Mn. We esp. love Charlie Russel's works, too.
You are a kindred spirit!
