I was not entirely satisfied with the original mix of this song, so I changed it slightly.
This is my scary fantasy-themed song for Halloween this year. Though similar to The Dark Side in lyrics and somewhat in musical elements, it is a song all of its own. The work features my dad on strings my younger sister on guest vocals, as well as some unusual time signatures in certain measures. Enjoy!

Narrator: I once heard of a little boy who got lost in the woods
That was on a late autumn night in a forest of color
The boy spotted a house,
An old large wooden house.
The boy was hungry, cold and scared,
So he knocked on the door.
The door creaked open by itself,
And there stood a woman with a cane.
She spoke to him, her voice dawned by age;
She was so sweet, yet something wasn't right.
Woman: Oh my poor little boy come inside,
You must have had quite a fright out there!
Come, eat supper, and drink a cup of tea.
You can even sleep here if you'd like!
Narrator: The piano was playing by itself;
The pumpkins were carved into spider-like shapes.
The woman went into the kitchen alone,
And there she spoke, but to whom, no one knows.
So the boy went upstairs and the lights went off.
He got scared and he jumped in bed.
When he fell asleep then the monsters crept in,
and soon he was eaten alive!
That was the night of the demons' feast.
The monsters and witches and ghosts went out
To eat whatever they could find
Before the winter arrived.
Their leader, a monster so secretive
did terrorize all he would ever find.
He lived in a bigger house inside a cave,
where he'd feed on human flesh.
But none of the monsters could ever know
that that feast would be their last,
For I did slay them later that night,
yet there not a thing of the past.
