Are you hip to another "character" connected with Kevyn on several recordings ... Michael Ruff? He's a killer musician/singer/songwriter/arranger. My wife and I were lucky enough to meet Michael in Kauai a few years ago and became friends. He's amazing.
If you're not aware of him, I'd highly recommend seeking out his recordings.

As a musician myself (drummer/percussionist), I enjoyed your approach, both rhythmically and harmonically. Nice touch, too.

Great job on this song! It's one of my favorites by Kevyn. Also enjoyed your solo technique. You should also check out Yutaka's version of this song on the Velas CD. He does an amazing synth solo and arranged a rather unique chord structure of this tune.
