  • maybe you should stop all the blame on coal mines. because unlike oil rigs and uranium mines. we actually try to proect the earth as best as we can. and we try to keep it as clean as we can. unlike oil and uranium

  • I am not placing all the blame on coal mining. We need to take time to expand our energy choices beyond the limited, unhealthy options of the past. Global warming is real.

  • well maybe we should just stop coal production. than there will be very little power in the country and force us drill more oil wells and mine more uranium. come to the midwest and see how clean coal mining is here. you'd be surprised. i am 18 years old. and have grown up in coal mining and it is my future. as is it for millions of people.

  • The renewable energy in wind and solar power can produce more power that what we would need. There will be no future if our earth cannot support life. I thank you and respect you for discussing this issue with me.

  • The superfund called the Pit in Butte, Montana is a very good example of the lack of responsibility of the mining companies. This video is just the tip of the iceberg.

  • why dont you people show a reclaimrd job instead of always in the process of mining. reclaimed mines in most part are beatiful and useable lands, and sure solar and wind may generate some power, not near enough, unless we all want a big windmill in our yard, want to see something ugly, imagine all these goofy looking windmills everywhere. guarantee nobody wants them in eyes sight of thier property.WAKE UP PEOPLE

  • Thank you for posting this video. Great changes start with just one voice.

  • Obviously your attempt at protection is FEEBLE at best! Do u people never think about your judgement day?

  • Just relaxing watching your vids.

    Jim.

  • very moving video shall anyone listen talking into the wind alone......dirty air, dirty water the water needs cleaned like the air now.....boils down just dirty money......not milk and honey.......

  • Wind and solar power produces zero emissions of air pollutants and greenhouse gases. We owe it to ourselves and our children to slow down and consider the truth behind coal before we lock ourselves into a new generation of polluting plants that will be with us for the next 50 years. Coal-fired power plants are a leading cause of respiratory illness, and already account for over 40% of our nation's carbon dioxide emissions, the lead cause of global warming.

  • solar and wind could not meet our needs for power. theres not enough light in the winter and not enough wind. we have power needs and coal is the best way for power at the moment. 95% of people agree. but theres a small 5% who feel the need to try and stop it. by stoping coal mines millions would be jobless
