BF3 Advanced Jet Tips - Dogfighting, Evasion and Wingmen

GAMEPLAY/RECORDING INFO:
-Keyboard/Mouse flying with Logitech G5 Laser (sensitivity no longer maxed since last BF3 patch, DICE raised maximum).
-Recorded using Dxtory 2.0 software, using the Lagarith Lossless Codec to .AVI
-Editing: Sony Vegas Pro 10.0
-System: i7-2600k @ 4.3GhZ - Nvidia GTX 580
-Music: Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins

MY CONTROL LAYOUT:
Many have asked so here are two screenshots showing my button remappings and a detailed explanation as to why I did them (some are mouse rebinds, please read below).

-Afterburner as "." is really a remapped mouse button under my scroll wheel so I can hold it while I steer. I use sprint the same way so it's second nature.

-Free-look is remapped to LSHIFT because I can hold it down effortlessly, without moving my WASD fingers while doing multiple other things.

-Toggle Weapons is remapped to RMB because it's another way I can leave my WASD fingers in place and and easily get back into cockpit view without pressing "C" if I'm in the heat of a dogfight or wild turn.

-Countermeasures are remapped to space bar so, you guessed it, I can mash my thumb without moving off WASD.

-From a suggestion here I've since remapped a spare mouse button to "Pitch Up" so that I can hold it if I run out of desk space on a long turn with the mouse (rare now that I use the entire desk and no pad). Not an elegant solution but it works well.

@Chris42344234 Sometimes disable is all you need in an air vehicle that can't be repaired in flight and doesn't have extinguishers. Better to let them live a bit and get a more important target (sometimes).

Do you have any tips for the gun, this is my weak spot and can never seem to shoot down jets with it

@xxaviatordogxx Nothing too much unfortunately. Just practice and make sure you're using the center crosshair and dot (not the circle). Also, you could try using Belt Speed perk for a few days so you can shoot more often until you get the hang of leading shots and distances.

Guys I use to suck at jets as well.like many of you but here is the nu,ber one tip I can give you , you to practice your self watching tips videoa.dont really work other then learning some tricks (i watch this cuz its enternaning ) 1- learn to fly jet and controll them, once master practice shooting other jets but most likely you wont get the kill but it helps practice aiming after a while it gets easier and you then can fly jets:)

@supermegabeefy2 It's been explained in the comments and all over forums for a while but as I said before, I'm working on a new video for it. This is an OLD video right around the game's release so I didn't have footage (or knowledge) of some of the tricks then.
