  • Yes, definitely start with a 250... I brought a 07 r6 as my first bike and sold it a month later, too fast. There's a lot of winding roads where I live and could never attack them because the bike was too fast, you'll get in to shit faster than you can react.

  • Personally I think 2008 R1 looks much better than 2009 model.

  • @abcdeadz Bugatti Veyron

  • @abcdeadz R1 is the best ever!!!!!

  • Yamaha, a beautiful machine.

  • ha, Im 6' 185-190 and I just purchased me an R1...this is my first bike. Ive NEVER rode a bike solo. If you want your money worth and dont wanna go through all that upgrading every yr or two, might as well do it big. Just make sure you take it easy and have an experienced rider teach you the ends and out. Good Luck

  • i'm 5'3' myself .i've got a 2008 r1. never done any modification. never had any mishaps. if you want proof look at my videos. if you are a new rider. start out with a starter bike like a 250. then start your way up. i have ten years of riding experience. good luck!

  • I've had a gsxr600 now stepping up to one of these babys. cant wait only a few more weeks.

  • With some experience you'll be fine on the R1, regardless of your size. Start off with something less powerful though.

  • naw man u wud fly off. maybe a 600 but thats still a lil too much
