Tom and I rode to the summit of Mt. Evans in Colorado - the world's highest paved road to 14,200 feet. As you can see we used non-conventional bikes to make the journey. The bike I'm riding is a Bike Friday folding bike and Tom's is a recumbent.

  • I'm training for my first Triple Bypass, and hope to ride to the top of Mount Evans by the end of May. Looks like a great ride!

  • Good luck! Hope it doesn't rain on you going down like it did for us.

  • Thanks. I'll definitely be checking the weather beforehand. I'll still be coming off shoulder surgery when I do it (the surgery is next week), so I need to make sure conditions are good. Although... I guess I can't control the conditions I ride in when Triple Bypass comes!

  • Great!! What recumbent modelis that?

  • Kudos to you, sir. Had I attempted to speak while cycling up Mt. Evans, I would have passed out.

  • You, my friend, are nuts. I start having severe altitude problems at a mere 7,400 feet. :)
