With the fifteen-minute video limit implemented on YouTube at the time of the three stages' videos, I could have easily just uploaded the entire round as a single video. I've decided not to do that, however, as I've noted that another YouTube user showcasing the entire game as each round being done as a whole video (or two, depending on length). I wanted to do something different from that, so I've decided to do each stage individually. I might do more Bonk's Adventure videos in the future, but these ones are all I'll be doing for now.
This level has Bonk going through the digestive tract of a dinosaur after walking on its back for a bit (which somewhat resembles a Stegosaurus but with sharp teeth, contractive back scales, and wears a baseball cap), which seems to be a very complex structure consisting of a kind of four-chambered pre-stomach, a very large main stomach, a sort of empty chamber that's like a ceacum or gizzard (where the 1-Up is), and finally the intestines. There are plenty of organisms thriving within this G.I. tract, which the bony fish and e-coil like enemies (whom I've forgotten their names) make for a good opportunity to rack up points, if Bonk's able to hit them along the mucosa membrane especially. I had a pretty bad jump whilst trying to collect all the fruit and bonk the dinosaur's head at the same time. I always try to collect the fruit from the Florent Sprung before entering the dinosaur. I spent a good amount of time trying to get enough points for 1-Ups from bonking the enemies repeatedly, which is why the video was as long as it was (Bonk is immune to the digestive juices apparantly and does not drown, so it's acceptable to rack up points until there are no more enemies to defeat).
The boss for this round, which I can only recall he had "Rex" in his name, is very easy once Bonk is in the position to do repeated falling bonks on his head. He can attack with bubbles released from his nostrils, but they can be prevented by acting quickly enough. He thanks you, becomes your friend, and barks like a dog (oh, no) once you've beaten him.
This video was recorded from a real TurboGrafx-16. It was recorded at a time before I began using a Y-adaptor for recording audio, so sound tends to come out of one speaker only. This game is available on Wii Virtual Console for 600 points.
Oh, well, Happy Belated Birthday to you, too TheSegaCampGamer.
