god...I heard this song at dinner tonight at Red Lobster and I just froze. Then I remembered Grey's Anatomy, then someone from an anime that died, then I started thinking about the one I'm in love with. I want so badly to just go to ___ and start singing this. In fact, I think I'm going to make a video for ___ with this song, tell ___ how I feel without actually saying it, so that we may stay friends if ___ doesn't feel the same way.

The phrase "Chasing Cars" came from Gary Lightbody's father, in reference to a girl Lightbody liked, "You're like a dog chasing a car. You'll never catch it and you just wouldn't know what to do with it if you did."
