Ahh- you forgot to mention that that was actually the *second* attempt to get the plane on land; the first time the nose gear didn't drop completely, and she scraped the nose quite a bit. ;)
Damn, I wish I could have been there to see this; my grandfather was a USAF cargo pilot in WWII, flying "The Hump" in India.
There's another Cat now up on the hill waiting to be placed into its permanent memorial on the old Seaplane Base. I can't wait to see it finished!
