LEGO: "Die Hard II: Die Harder" - Plane Crash

When the terrorists, led by Colonel Stuart, start messing with the airport control tower systems and trick a plane into thinking they're 200 feet higher than they really are and tell them that it's safe to land in the dangerous winter conditions, John McClane tries to help signal the plane before it crashes. Can he succeed in time?

This was another video that I had done an earlier version of long ago, back before I got the much higher-quality/higher-definition camera that I use now. I had almost completely finished the original version, up until I hit the shot of the plane exploding. Back then, I didn't think I could pull off the effects to recreate the explosion needed for the shot. This is the second, and much better, version.

Although not necessarily my first LEGO adaption vid, this is my first adaption of a particular scene from a movie. This is one of my favorite scenes from DHII: DH.

Also, this is the first LEGO vid I've ever used special effects for; in this case, the shot of the plane exploding. I used Microsoft Paint to do the explosion, fire, and smoke effects. That one shot alone, consisting of exactly 10 different frames, took me about an hour to do.
