MRK1 drops his brand new single on the Rub A Duck imprint, entitled "Living a Lie". The vocals are from KT Forrester.
It's common knowledge: MRK1 was one of the first producers to pioneer the dubstep sound and was responsible for some of its first releases. At the same time it's a known fact that MRK1 works with various styles as well. "Living a Lie" is one of those superb tracks that you won't be able to get out of your head from the very first moment that you hear it. First of all we have the relentless beating of the chopped up Amen beat, combined with ultra low bass sweeps that will immediately knock your socks off if it hadn't hauled you to the dance floor already. KT Forrester's vocal performance comes to life perfectly throughout the song and gives "Living a Lie" absolute top chart power.
The package comes with two killer remixes that deserve some serious attention. Damn You Mongolians stripped the original down to its bare essence and gave it their trademark seeing to, so strap yourselves in for some hard hitting filthy dubstep on this one. Fred Baker approached things from another angle and coughs up an incredibly funky progressive house remix. "Living a Lie" by MRK1 is a hit. And that's no lie!
