Lindsay Lohan formally arrested for DUI

Hello, I'm Rebecca Field with a UPI entertainment update on this Friday, the 20 day of July 2007.

Actress Lindsay Lohan is now out on bail after surrendering to police for DUI charges. The actress reportedly turned herself in yesterday to be formally arrested for driving under the influence. The charges stem from an incident last May. She apparently spent about an hour at the station before being released on 30,000 dollars bail. Lohan was involved in a hit and run car crash. Police found cocaine and twice the legal limit of alcohol in her system. At the time of the accident, Lohan was only cited because of her minor injuries.

HBO is dominating the list of Emmy nominees. The channel's made for TV movie "Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee" is leading the way with a total of 17 nominations. The hit series "The Sopranos" is following closely behind with 15 nominations including best actress and best actor nods for James Gandolfini and Edie Falco. That show will compete with "Grey's Anatomy," "Boston Legal," "Heroes," and "House" for best dramatic series. The Emmy's will take air Live on Fox on September 16.

Actor Larry David's wife is reportedly filing for divorce. Laurie David, who is known for her work on the documentary "And Inconvenient Truth," is citing irreconcilable differences with her husband of 14 years. She's reportedly seeking joint custody of their two children...13 year old Cazzie and 10 year old Romy.

Two celebrity couples are reportedly partnering up to throw a party in honor of the Beckhams. People magazine says Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes, as well as Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are hosting an event to welcome the couple to Los Angeles. The private party for Victoria and David will apparently take place this weekend at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Los Angeles.

Moviegoers planning to see the documentary "Sicko" have a chance to win a free vacation. Filmmaker Michael Moore says viewers will be asked to mail their movie ticket for a chance to win a trip to a city that offers free universal health care. Winners can choose between Paris, London or Toronto. In addition, the tourist will get an explanation of the heath care system there. Moore says no matter which country you visit, if you get sick...you can be treated for free.

i feel bad for Lindsay because she has such great problems in her life. I blame her father for raising her the way he treated her. He treated her like garbage, he influenced her with his drinking and drug problem. Michael Lohan should not be allowed to even be near his daughter. He abused her and he will pay the price for killing his daughter by subjecting her to illegal drugs and alcohol. Shame on Michael Lohan for being a stupid, and idiotic father to Lindsay.

2) I had the bandage on under the SCRAM because it chaffed.

3) I wasn't driving.

4) I don't do drugs.

5) The pants I had on weren't mine (That one alone begs the question!).

6) The coke found in the first DUI wasn't mine either (For some one not using, there is sure a lot of coke around her!).
