  • Depends on the school. At my school, I could wear a t-shirt and shorts with flip-flops if i want to. At public school, khakis and a dress shirt might be in order. I would overdress at first then see what everyone else wears.

  • Why do they prefer women over men?

  • @IchigiXSHINeeX2pm Maybe they think women are better dealing with children than men. But like many things, women are in high demand.

  • are you planning on staying another year or so? Also, do you ever wish you were back un the US? What do you see in your future? I would love to teach there but I am a little afraid (as a woman) to go alone also I heard they go for younger teachers for some reason. I don't know what to do when I graduate with my Bachelors so I am debating whether to stay here alone or there and an awesome experience. I'm afraid I won't be outgoing enough for them. It seems you have to be really energenic .

  • @Naidalis1 I will defenitely stay another year. I don't wish I was back in USA, but I do miss things you can't get here easily, so I don't think about it. Korea has all the comforts you need, if you live in one of the larger cities. Korea is much more safer than in the USA, there is no reason to be affraid to come here. You have an advantage because they prefer women teachers over men. They generally want energetic, but you can learn how to be a good, fun teacher on the job.

  • What are the food products that you miss most?

  • @IchigiXSHINeeX2pm they prefer women because they could boss us around more, and canadians even more...true

  • Just a quick question, do you have to wear a suit and tie for teaching or is it more relaxed? What about the private schools?

  • It was my desperate attempt to write in Hangul.
