Little River Band 2010 REMINISCING

Little River Band Might be described as the Eagles of Australia. It was a consortium of the best players, writers & singers in Australia who wanted to bust pop music wide open with their pure talent. It took a while, but these guys could not be ignored. The musical creations of Little River Band were so stunning that they garnered the adoration of Glen Frey & John Lennon. Wayne Nelson was the Yankee of such talent that he managed to break in on the good thing that Little River Band had going. Wayne seemed to have an even better sense of the PURE MAGIC that was Little River Band than the original band members. After the other guys quit, Wayne kept things rolling & takes the Nelson version of LRB on tour. No, it isnt Shorrock, Goble, &Birtles, but It damn sure is a real treat anyway, something the public is fortunate to have & something to be savored.

The main problem with the video is that someone in the audience was singing next to the camera and that guy was awful and off key all the way. Fortunately he didn't know the lines after the first stanza so he stopped singing until the begining of the last stanza which begins again with "Friday night it was late ...."

@mechiefslapahobitch wayne nelson, the lead singer, was a legit member of LRB, recruited by LRB because they knew he was a match for LRB and he was featured lead on several LRB songs, so its got some linkage more than a just any cover band. & Still better than Lady Gaggag.

I had a good time that night, & I had this video to share, thankfully I could hear a legit member of LRB perform instead of any of the current batch of pathetic CRAP for music performers that are out there. and here you are trying to give me grief over a preference for some lesser form of LRB over all the other crap out there. go bitch at a lady gaga video because you are done here, prick!

@lordeowyn not "fuck this crap" FUCK YOU ASSHOLE ! since you want to get all pissy, ask why Goble, Birtles, Housden cared so little about LRB that they legally sold the rights to band and the name to Nelson for a mere 80,000$ total. Nelson apparently cared more about LRB at that point than the original LRB did. yah LRB was Magic,

anyone including a brainless asshole like you can see that.Nelson was part of that magic no matter how much you dont like it.

@lordeowyn well JFYI Since I can be objective (and you can only be an asshole) Nelson was off on this night. I admit & it was still a good show. I saw him & LRB again in 2011 & he was FANTASTIC, sounding BETTER than Shorrocks currently does. Not that Shorrock sounds bad, but Glenn currently sounds a lot like recylced Tony Bennett, which is not that bad, but Nelson NOW actually sounds more like Shorrock did than Shorrock does.

he sings Night owl,,and thats all, it doesnt made him the frontman of the band, come to think of it, imagine nelson singing all the LRB songs and i know for sure he will sucks,,he doesnt have the talent,,he didnt compose any of these songs and now he is touring and fooling people for the music that he didint do,,,what a shame and what a crap...
