Meh, to each his own. I think it's cheating, but I used it anyway (both on the N64 and on this new version). So what if you cheated? Does the game label you a cheater? Does it get you special stuff in online play? Nobody even knows you did it.

To me real cheating would be using glitches in online games because it gives you unfair advantages. Unless it's a purely cosmetic glitch that doesn't harm anyone.

@VIDEOGAMETV I got it now. I have unlocked all of the Classic Weapons from Goldeneye to use in Perfect Dark. The Gold tests for the Rocket Launcher & Laser, with the Laptop Gun combined, the test is a snap. Some people say that the Laptop Gun Glitch in the firing range is CHEATING. In my opinion, it's not. On some of the trials, the Laptop Gun can save you a lot of trouble. The Gold for Grenades was horrible by far. I think you need to hit 4 targets in under 30 seconds to pass.

I haven't done all the challenges, but be careful b/c some require a hit percentage or target score. If the target breaks after 5 hits and the laptop gun shoots wildly, it will destroy the target and probably get you mostly 1 or 2 points. You'd have to actually use the Sniper Rifle to aim for the bullseye. Do you understand what I'm trying to say?

@VIDEOGAMETV Thanks for the helpful trick, VIGEOGAMETV. The only weapons that are giving me trouble, even with the laptop gun glitch, are the Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher, and Laser. The Laptop Gun hits all of the targets, but it keeps saying that my score is unattainable(in other words, I failed to get the required score to pass the test). Nonetheless, this video was very helpful. 5/5, =)

The multiplayer challenge glitch doesn't work b/c only the 1st person can change/load the settings, not everyone.

As the guy below (DarkGhostlyDeath) said, this is a well known trick. It was shown in Nintendo Power back in the day when this game was on N64. I had been to the xbox360achievements forums and someone talked about this glitch but refused to tell anyone how to do it. He had this uppity "glitches are for noobs" attitude. So I just made a quick video to show everyone how to do it.

This has been known since the game came out practically. He's just telling you how to do the same known trick already.

All tricks should work in the remake since it's practically the same game.
