Sturgeon's Mill Steam Powered Sawmill May 2009 #7

On the floor. Sturgeon's Saw Mill, running on May 17th, 2009. This is a labor of love restoration project begun by the two sons of the gentlemen who built and operated the mill for many years near Sebastopol, CA. They were joined by a lot of other old machinery buffs, and the mill runs once again. The original 1900 boiler that ran on slash from the lumber operation is still there but inoperable, and a modern (and safe, one presumes) oil fired boiler supplies the steam.
