Brings back fond memories, before the apartments were there, when the DC-3 and others were parked along the runway.
A treat: time a night landing when there is an oncoming train beside the runway!
With the ambient lights of Ft Worth and Charlie's homemade 12W REIL system comprised of inverted Mason jars, it was a bear to locate! I've had licensed pilots not yet see it on short final.
Surely in someone's crosshairs, a wonderful piece of GA history on the brink of extinction!

The first time I ever landed there there was a train going buy. We only got still pictures on that pass.
