My dad was at a famous NYC restaurant back in the 50's and Eddie Fisher was there so he had Eddie sign his augtograph to me on the menue. He signed "To Eddie, my Eddie, Eddie Fisher". Since my first name is Eddie it is " right there". His vocie to me is as clean and sharp as Frank Sinatra but Eddie ruined his reputation with the Debby Reynolds situation. Too bad, I always loved the way he sang "Anytime". It will go down for all time in the hall of great music of the 20th century.

How can anyone listen to this song sung by eddie fisher and not say that that is the most beautiful voice ever - - so rich, so strong, velvery, and sung exactly as the song was meant to be sung. I never tire of hearing those first 2 words "Any time." I'm so lucky to be able to enjoy eddie fisher's music so very, very much.

I loved Eddie Fisher and loved listening to his recordings during the late forties and early 50s. It is sad to hear today the 24th Sept 2010, that he has sadly passed away. God bless you Eddie, and thanks for all the lovely memories. RIP
