MONICA INEZ TORREZ was a high school senior in Miami, Florida when her body started to go through some....strange changes. No, not puberty, again. What Monica didn't remember was her abduction by aliens, when she was a baby. The aliens hid something important to them in her body, the instrument of their future survival. But, the aliens wouldn't come back for it for years. In the meantime the device inside her had a defense mechanism that would protect its host from attackers. Monica would exhibit strange powers; but they weren't powers at all...........they were side effects. Those strange defensive effects would get the attention of every supervillain in Miami.
