About this talk
Think of Star Wars -- who wouldn't want to use "The Force," firsthand? Tan Le presents the EPOC headset; a device that makes it possible for specially designed computer applications to be controlled and influenced by the user's mind and facial expressions. Here, Le discusses the implementations of the technology, her fascination with the human brain, and why challenges are often opportunities in disguise.

About this speaker
Tan Le is co-founder of Emotiv Systems, a neuroengineering company that has developed breakthrough interface technology for digital media that takes inputs directly from the brain. Emotiv's vision is to revolutionize human-computer interface in the same way the graphical user interface did 20 years ago.

  • Hello Tan Le

I am not in Australia, I am from California, USA. I am so proud what you've done, an important contribution of technology not only for Australia but for the whole world. Some of my friends, VNmeses and Americans, and people of the VNmese community here, said that if you did your speech shorter, and talked lesser about your mom, and yourself and then your speech was wonderful instead. We respect the humility, and we love the loyalty.

  • Great speech and technology. It is Ok to say about her family background where she has learned and inspired from. What country has generously provided her opportunity. From there, that has led to her success.
