I think you might even be interested in doing some shows, you definitely have the personality and perspective. Ron won't endorse Barr because Baldwin is also running for president. He doesn't need to endorse anyone though, because most of his supporters base it all on the issues... unlike other supporters, Ron Paul people can decide on their own. =)

I too am very disappointed and surprised that Ron Paul has dropped out of the race. In fact the idea of Bob Barr of all people being in the race and Ron Paul being out is downright preposterous. And why Ron Paul would drop out of the race just a few weeks before the Ron Paul March is very puzzling indeed. Ron Paul will remain a spiritual figurehead of this movement regardless of what happens from this point forward but on the whole I disapprove of his latest move.

Hans, I object to even a non-violent riot because:

* It's a very thin line between rioting peacefully, and rioting violently. Given some of the people here (eg the neo-nazi), ensuring they are kept on the correct side of the line is little more than wishful thinking

* Agent provocateurs sent from Homeland Security etc. can incite or create violence easily in those circumstances

* We can pretty much expect for the MSM to portray our non-violent riot as bad, by focusing on the 0.1% that was bad

All the other "leading" candidates raised much more money. Only they did it from corporations, and lobbyists, rather than individuals. Dr Paul's supporters are the brightest of all candidates supporters, because he is an intellectual, message-candidate. You may not be cut out for it, but many are, and we give, and will continue to give for the cause of liberty, whether Dr Paul is involved, or not. He just fired us up.

Thank you Hans for everything you have done. I too was dissapointed when Dr. Paul dropped out, however we Libertarians have a good man running for president in Bob Barr. I, like you will keep on fighting for freedom. I mean,...what are the alternatives?

I certainly admire you, Hans. I also have been involved in campaining for liberty for a long time (30 years or more)—not much at first, since I was only 16. My dad nearly gave his life in the name of freedom.
