Using Novation Launchpad to trigger Beat Repeat (with Automap MIDI)

In this video we'll take a look at a brief demo using the Launchpad to trigger fx, in this case Ableton Live's built effect: Beat Repeat. This is where the Launchpad comes in handy as it is sometimes preferable to be able to cut to a specific value rather than having to cycle through values as you would with a Rotary Control or Fader.

How have you done this ? Making the buttons momentary and have it light up like that ? I've downloaded your rack but it's not the same.

Ah sorry, this rack is different to other one - basically to get a visual response, I've added 8 beatrepeats, each one set to the divisions you want, and then set the Launchpad buttons as momentary CCs rather than notes, then just MIDI assign a button to each beatrepeat "Repeat".

@fletchmusicvideo hey. if i use automap i just get a wash of red over the whole launchpad. i only want the middle 4 rows to be 4 divisions of beatrepeat over 8 tracks. do you know how to prevent auto map from washing the other pads with red? thanks!

but like you, i had 8 beatrepeats and i assign each on/off button on a macro command. Then i click on MIDI to know the CC value, and after i set this value in automap... but it doesn't work.. Can you help me ?
