  • This stuff is Awesome!! God truly has his hand on Mark Driscoll and the ministry of Mars Hill.

  • @wackzingo I agree that the discussion can sometimes turn into superficial and meaningless rhetoric. However having said that God's sovereign choice over the salvation of every human being through Grace or his choice to not to extend His salvation to every human being and demonstrate His justice instead is not "stupid stuff" but one of the foundational truths of the Gospel. I think you will agree with that.

  • @MilhamaH777 I never claimed anything about reformed believers not being able to evangelize and I'm not ignorant of Church history. This is a waste of time, let's talk about Jesus instead of squabbling over stupid stuff. Jesus paid it all, All to Him I owe; Sin had left a crimson stain, He washed it white as snow.

  • @wackzingo I did not call you any names. I stated that you are ignorant of the Church history which is confirmed by your allegations of "impossibility" of evangelism by reformed believers. That is a major difference which you do not allow due to your subjectivity and unwillingness to recognize massive holes in your understanding. You stand on the shoulders of Reformed Faith Giants like Edwards, Whitefield,Carey, Fuller and others and you fail to see that. Read your Bible without man's traditions

  • @MilhamaH777 are you always so hateful and rude towards those with whom you disagree? Instead of calling names and hurling insults why don't you actually respond to what I said? Calvinism believes all men are totally depraved and were headed to hell but God in his sovereignty predestined to save some to demonstrate His goodness. What part of this do you disagree with?

  • @MrSB1274 Does not matter what you think or what I think. If you refuse the grammar there is also uber important thing called context and it does not and will not allow for your isogesis. Read Eph, 1:3-6. You cannot force on this and others your foreseeing of "decisions", He foresaw believers personally: "even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ..."

  • @wackzingo A lie from a pit of hell and utter ignorance of Church history. Unfortunately, the astonishing ignorance that you reveal is frequently the norm now days... Some of the most proific evangelists and preachers used by the Lord were Reformed. E.g. Charles Haddon Spurgeon who personally without the radio, tv or internet, personally preached the Gospel to over 20 million bringing countless to faith according to the will and glory of God. Get on reading please...

  • @MilhamaH777 It doesn't matter what you think about the greek verb foreknew or your opinion on predestination, you are just acting as if because you are elect (or think you are, because only god knows that really) you can point to other people as non elect. That's pretty prideful.

  • @MilhamaH777 it does which is exactly why I can't be a Calvinist. I was being sarcastic in my comments because the reality is you can't be a Calvinist and offer a message of hope to the whole world.

  • @MrSB1274 "God foreknew " You do not understand the VERB form of forknew ~ προγινοσκο ~ prog-in-oce'-ko He forknew PERSONS and not their "decisions"... Think of that please and of ramifications of your synergism. Besides this does not help at all the illusion of your absolute freedom it only creates its illusion. Ultimately when it comes to salvation of anything else you can only have one of the two: free God or free man. Only one of those is the Gospel and the issue of responsibility is real.
