Disease brought the Native Hawaiian population from about 1 million at the time of first European contact down to about 40 thousand in 1893...if there had been a million Hawaiians in 1893 there is no way we would have abdicated the throne...either way this is currently the illegal occupation of the Kingdom of Hawaii under international law...go educate yourselves. The proper way to go about this is through the UN and the countries we had treaties with who recognized us a sovereign kingdom..

I surfed Kauai for 20 years and it's mellow. Pretty much if you catch da wave early nobody will drop in. I live on Oahu now and i kinda miss Kauai.

@dekneef Haha your stupid we don't have a "kill haole" day thats just a fib. People like you need to learn to let go of the past and hold on to the future. Saying what your saying just makes you look like an ignorant ass-hole. I'm Hawaiian to and I understand it was wrong what the Europeans did to the native people and the land. You have to understand something like that would have happened anyway seeing as we're practically defenseless.

P.S. Haole means "No Breath" in Hawaiian not white person
