Pastor Eddie D. Smith Sr. - The Meaning of Namaste'

That is a very nice explanation of the word namaste. Namaste is also the act of bringing the palms and fingers together and bowing to the God in the other. The syllables "Na" and "Ma" imply "not me" and "te" refers to "thee" or God. Therefore, 'na" and "ma" refer to the ego that takes a step back in reverence to God and gives God the preference. This means: May God's will happen. So namaste also reminds us that we should teat each other with love and respect because the same God is in all.

I've already detected this word as an up an coming mainstreamer...much like woooo-hoooo, or lol. Everyone is using it now. On Youtube, facebook. Instead of..Thank you, or sincerley yours . now it's Namaste............Namaste.

"Namah" means bow, "te" means you. That's all there to it. There is no divinity nonsense. But yeah, he's a pastor and he's supposed to attach that. But you need not believe me, you can believe pastor because he says it with divine authority. ;)

@macedoniachurch Thanks to Pastor Eddie, Today i know something which i didn't knew since years, or i can say since from my birth, Being a Indian christian, i still use this "Namaste" to greet my elders and respected ones, but no one knew this meaning, and no one ever told, when it comes to discrimination, or supreme feeling over one and other, we always have 1 million stories to say here in india, Brotherhood love to all your church and everyone. :) Namaste.
