as far as people know, the 458 has never been around the ring because Ferrari does its testing at the Fiorano track, and the 458 isn't inferior technology, 562hp for a 4.5 liter engine at 9000rpm is superior technology, just like the brakes in the ZR1 are the best because they are the same as in the FXX, just like the AWD system in the GTR is state of the art... and as for the reliability of the 458, it's been less than a year since its launch so we'll have to wait a bit

I agree superior technology my ass. The natural habitat of a Ferrari is up on a lift with the engine out. I hate chevy with a passion and wouldn't buy one myself but the standard vette is even a fuel efficient vehicle. If you change the plugs on occasion your good. A ferrari needs a full time mechanic to ride along with you. They're beutifull works of art, but absoloute garbage. Those big american engines are reliable. There's no replacement for displacement.
