Clifta talks about getting ready for your first competition and how family and friends start the sabotaging. Have you made up your mind to compete for the first time? Once you started, did your family and friends not understand and start sabotaging? Trying to talk you out of going after your goals?
Watch this video and get a little insight on why they do it.

Clifta is a Natural Pro bodybuilder with 26 years experience.

  • I love the inner strength you have to let this go in one ear and out the other, and while they are getting their prescriptions from the years of sedentary life, you rockin health and beauty and well being. Thank you so much for this talk...I was snaking on cherry tomatoes while watching this. (see how good i am ...lol:)))))) *pats* self on the back, hehehe

That is so true 'bout misery loves company...

  • @krystalmonday Good girl! :D See... You have inner strength too! ;)

  • That is so true, sabatoge! It is so good to know that its not just being done to me. Like the guy in my gym, he does not like seeing me do cardio because that is his weakness (he smokes but lifts weights). He said it was "like over kill". well it helped me keep going. In fact the treadmill is harder then outside as it can be daunting, so that's why I need to do it. I can see that in you, that this tactic does not work, that is why you became who you did and are.

  • @krystalmonday Don't listen to him. You're doing great! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. :)

  • God's blessings to you :). I've heard, and seen, negative affects, of shortcuts. I understand the drive to be the best in competitions, but one should also take care not to take it too far. There is sacrifice in bodybuilding, but I feel there are particular lines not to cross, not in the long run. You work your hardest, you do your best, give it 1,000%, and if YOU like you, and are proud of the results of your hard work, then that ought to be enough. Enjoy your work, without destroying yourself.

  • @wildside316 Thank you!

  • @toolband123 Thank you, Scott! So true! The gym atmosphere can be sooo funny sometimes... I'm so glad to be where I am... it's a cozy and friendly little gym! Great place to train.
