Here's a little tutorial I created with flash that shows a random musical interval. If you would like to visit a flash version of this that will endlessly give you new intervals, visit http://www.pianochordfinder.org/html/interval_trainer_sept_08.htm

I have other free music tutorials written in flash at my website http://www.pianochordfinder.org/

  • All the terminology is confusing. There is no explanation why things are they way they are.

  • Yeah, but that's music. Maybe you can come up with a better way?

  • The purpose of a tutorial the way I see it is to make difficult things more easy to understand for people who are not familiar with the subject yet. It's not throwing raw data at the users and going "you figure it out, memorize it or something, I'm just working here".

Don't get me wrong. Appreciate all the effort.

  • Well, I guess you get your money back. :)

  • Dude, whatever. Forget what I said.

  • Everyone's a critic these days. Two can play at that game. I found your initial criticism of a C grade. Your criticism was useless to my video and poorly aimed.

  • Thanks for uploading this. I didn't actually need to relearn this stuff, but It helps to have videos like this around for when I need a quick reference tool to remember the "distance" of specific intervals. :)

  • Thanks for sharing your musical knowledge. I am sooo enjoying your teaching platform and all your videos. No, complaints here. Just keep 'em coming.

  • I have an interval test tomorrow!!! summative exam!!!!!!! this should hopefully help.

  • thanks !!

  • no, his criticism is not poorly aimed. he's giving advice, he is not attacking you. "Everyone's a critic these days", that is poorly aimed.
