Historic Interview by British Politician Tony Benn with Saddam Hussein. In an attempt to avert the upcomming War Tony Benn asks the questions raised by the UK and the USA. Saddams answers to the questions are VERY intriguing and it is no surpise that this interview was all but buried as the rush to war gathered Momentum.

Tony Benn's attempt to avert the War ultimately failed as was to become clear that the desire for War was inevitable. The day after this interview Colin Powell went to the UN and lied through his teeth but convinced the World of the need for War. Powell now says his speech was a BLOT on his reputation!

  • it's intresting to see what he says back 10 years ago come true today. Just look at the hostility towards Iran, the Arab Spring, and the growth of China and Europe. Very intersting.

  • @BakedBean707 Muslims are bad though. Still should just leave them be.

  • the truth about saddam is: hes actually not that different from normal people. yes he should have been executed for his crimes, but no hes not an insane, deranged lunatic like say idi amin. i can quite clearly see a number of other world leaders committing his crimes if put in his shoes.

lets not forget that it was the uk, france and the us that supported him during the invasion of iran but condemned him for the invasion of kuwait.

  • @77heja77 Well Saddam's personality is very complex . You should see him in that video when he mercilessly calls out the names of the Ba'athists who conspired against him, while they are being taken one after the other to their execution and then compare him with this video in which he looks serene , resigned and even fatherly. Well he was a ruthless dictator but he had some great attributes unlike the clown of Lybia.

  • You can't be too crass with Hussein; he invaded Kuwait for his interest. Now, how many countries has the USA forloyed for their interests? "Cheap bananas."

  • this is not the real saddam!.. this is one of his doubles

    1. the voice is soft and smooth which is opposite of real saddam

    2. more importantly is the height!! this is the only double that is short and he always do interviews sitting down, just take a good look when they show him from far.. you can tell that he is shorter than everyone there, and the real saddam's height is 6.3.

    thanks.

  • @RoundDaFur I come from an Iraqi background and I love you very dearly my friend.

I wish for world peace too.

Down with the new world order and the one world government/ illuminati agenda plans.

  • @Rollonthefield No it was 104,000 Iraqis and most of were killed by insurgents than Coalition forces. Still Saddam killed more people than the 2003 invasion because Saddam killed 100,000 Kurds within three days with poison gas spreading all around and killed around 200,000 Shiites and Kurds within a month after Desert Storm of 1991 ended.

  • @Rollonthefeild good man all these nisa about him walking in the streets picking out the people he wants to kill

  • Bush and Blair are liers! Lets come in the name of peace and democracy with tanks guns and bombs to kill people

  • @paulod27 Lol You can't use "Saddam killed his own people" anymore. What exactly did USA do? I'm pretty sure 500,000 iraqis we're killed as a result of the invasion. I'm pretty sure that no iraqi soldier would shoot down their own countrymen.
