9.7 seconds???? Every other review puts this vehicle at 8.5 or under. Not sure who was driving that 0-60 test but it didn't look like they were in a hurry to get off the line.

For a crossover vehicle like the Honda Pilot, I would've expected more torque from the 3.5 litre V6 than it does. It puts out more than enough horsepower, (at 250hp), but such a vehicle needs more torque to get up hills. I'd give it 300lbs-ft of low end torque.

219,000 miles on our 2003 Pilot EX-L. Just routine scheduled service has kept it running like a top! My family has owned Honda's since the 1970's and nothing but Honda's. Our latest Honda is a more fuel efficient 2011 CR-V in the EX-L trim. So far it's averaged 29 MPG City/Hwy mixed driving. Better than expected.
But we will continue to have a need for a 3rd row for years to come and we will replace our 2003 Pilot with another new EX-L 4WD. That will probably happen by 2013 (3rd Generation?).

Sorry to burst your bubble but the Pilot is selling like hot cakes. It's outselling Explorer and Flex combined and going past the 100 grand mark annually.

@4MATICbenz only 253 lb-ft of torque?WOW a 97 Chevy Blazer makes 250 and only 16/22 MPG? a Chevy Tahoe gets 16/21 agree, If this was an American Vehicle they would be get ripped for building this vehicle, Honda is crazy if they think ppl are going to waste 40 grand on this or Ridgeline truck
Honda needs to wake up or they will be like GM and Chrysler and need bailouts.
