I was noodling around on the burn channel with my Albert Lee guitar and found some interesting tones. The Mesa is set to gain at 7, all tones at 5 and the master at 4, at 5 watts. With the volume of the guitar turned down to 5 it gives an almost clean tone. With all other settings the same and the guitar turned to 10 it gives the classic boogie lead tone without changing channels. Because it's power stage is pretty much saturated already, turning up the guitar doesn't make it much louder - just a lot "gainier". With the neck pickup at 5 it even gives a credible jazz tone.

  • hey man lots of very nice tones! Is this the 10" speaker combo version? Sounds like it might be? Sorta of mid-rangy in-your-face, like mine... :-)

  • @bjornkom Yes - it's the 10" speaker - and yes, mid-range is present ;-)

  • Hey I was just cheking out your video to get an impression of the amp. How surprising to see a EBMM Albert Lee! I have the same guitar - and that is not only a great guitar, it's also a great demo for me since it is exactly the setup I would use the amp with. Extremely helpful and a great surprise as well! :)
