I'll say this...I think Ricky Bell "grew into" and developed his voice over time to the point where he became a very good vocalist. It was right around the Heartbreak album/the first BBD album where he hit that "lead singer" level. You can tell that the command over his voice wasn't quite there in the earlier New Edition years...in my opinion, that is.

Doesn't that bring you back . Although they had went their separate ways and tried to comeback together , they are singin as a group again .

Can you imagine what they would have been like if they were to have stayed as a group before breaking up. You think they would have made it through the 90's and on? . R&B groups were kind of fading at the time and not becoming popular in the maintstream .

Regardless, they were and still are my favorite R&B group of all time.
