"Vedrommi intorno", Aria sung by Luciano Pavarotti(IDOMENEO)with The Metropolitan Opera Orchestra conducted by James Levine;
IDOMENEO;
Vedrommi intorno
Lombra dolente,
Che notte e giorno;
Sono innocente
Maccennerà.
Nel sen trafitto,
Nel corpo esangue
Il mio delitto,
Lo sparso sangue
Madditerà.
Qual spavento,
Qual dolore!
Di tormento
Questo core
Quante volte morirà!
[Recitativo]
IDOMENEO:
Cieli! che veggo? Ecco, la sventurata vittima, ahimè!
Sappressa...e queste mani le ministre saran?...
Mani esecrande! Barbari, ingiusti Numi! are nefande!
where's the coloratura?

Thanks for posting. Pavarotti was not a Mozart singer, as this video unfortunately makes clear.

I disagree, Im a student and I find that certain Mozart repetoire is very easy to sing. It all depends on the level of voice. Certain students should stick to art songs through college, but some are ready to move onto arias, and singing roles in an opera. It really all depends on the student I think. Some just progress sooner then others.

mozart + mozart = 2
one mozart opera isn't the other.

Totally agree... Mozart must be in the group of the last composers that a student must sing... almost in a professional level.

shows how hard Mozart is to sing (and yet he's one of the first composers thrown at students)
