  • what do you feed the gar and the other fish

  • @RjTropicalAquariums

They eat pellets, silversides, herring, makerel, smelts and of course small fish born in the tank.

  • Actually I think the fish you are both referring to is a Calophysus macropterus the Vulture catfish. It's probably about 21-22" long.

  • Not sure what fish you are referring to that is a pictus?

Please check the second time on the video and tell me so I can look at it and see which fish you are looking at.

    thanks

  • Thanks and the nice thing is all the big ones I bought small in 1997. So they are 14 years in the tank now.

  • hey can i ask you if this would work

i am making a monster aquarium that is 14x6x5 feet and 3,900 or so gallons.

so my question is how thick the glass would have to be if i dont put cement in it.

    just all glass

  • You should smallmouth bass in that tank, and try to grow world record fish

  • Would you mind sharing your food bill and your electricity bill per month on average?

    I

  • Killer collection!!!

  • you have an amazing collection of fine specimens! keep up the good work! hope to see more updates soon! perhaps a breeding video?

  • That Emperor Cichlid is the bee's knee's

  • That's not a Pictus Cat. That's a Lince Cat which is decidedly much more expensive and rare!!

  • VERY nice. didnt know the pictus reached such an immense size...thats awesome. throw in some pink tail chalceus....they would get massive in there!

  • Dude thanks for the video updates on both tanks. Gotta do it more often.

  • i love that shoal of widebar
