I think it's faster, yeah, but I wouldn't say it's joyful. To me, there's no way this song could be classified as joyful, haha.

To each their own, though :] I'm generally a fan of his more low key style, but his jazzed up stuff is really growing on me.

I know how you feel! There are some of his songs that he's sped up live recently that I prefer in their slow and melancholy fuzzy-album state. That said, a concert full of slow and melancholy songs might not make for a ~fun~ concert, you know? :P
