  • I just love the body language between the flute and Oboe 14 to 20 seconds. I wonder was it her harmonic at the very start and he is a bit upset? Maybe i'm imagining things but he raises his eybrows in a sort of real snobby musical way as if she had screwed up something. His "smile" tells all. Sometijg definetly happened. Anyone agree?

  • This is the best and most inspiring performance of the requiem I have ever heard. Thanks God that I've been there. I shall never forget it.

  • The Dresdner Kreuzchor will perform that work in November 14, 2010 in Dresden...:)

  • @3tristan

  • She stifled a sneeze and wiped her nose. Big deal. Musicians have bodily functions too. I've seen, heard, and done worse.

  • @oconnb00

I'd say it went something more like:

-Shit. Sorry, I screwed up. Did you notice that?

    -Yeah.

    -I did, didn't I?

    -Come on, nevermind.

  • If you like this: as of this month, it is possible to order the DVD in the Netherlands. I am not sure about the international market yet but the DVD is prepared NTSC 16:9 anamorphic with region code 0 (worldwide). The accompanying booklet is written in Dutch/English/German/French. Look for "Gergiev conducts Brahms (DVD BIS)" from BIS records, Sweden.

  • The Swedish Radio Choir is great!

  • You kidding me? Why would you want to take out such a natural feeling from music?

This does not mean I myself support homosexuality, however.

  • Again NOT necessary here!!

  • The flute was sharp on the opening note. They were just making a note to adjust next time, which they did on the later entrances of this theme.
